BECOME A 2020 BRISBANE AIRSHOW VENDOR (FOODIE & MERCHANT VENDORS)

Locals and visitors from around Australia are expected to attend the 2020 Brisbane Airshow on the 4th and 5th of July 2020.

The 2020 Brisbane Airshow will provide enthusiasts a great venue to display a variety of modern, vintage and warbird aircraft. The airshow is a two day event allowing patrons to Fly-In and enjoy a rockabilly atmosphere. Car Clubs and Car Enthusiasts will be provided an opportunity to display their vehicles and engage in a variety of Club competitions and judging activities. The airshow will include the Somerset and Aviation Expo’s, offering quality food and merchandise for sale, as well as camping and great entertainment on the evening of Saturday the 4th of July 2020.

Accordingly, we are seeking high-quality professional Food and Merchant stalls to provide food and product sales, all in an atmosphere which complements the Airshow’s rockabilly theme. A catering opportunity exists for the right vendor to gain exclusive rights to the VIP pavilion during the Airshow. General trading hours are expected to be 9:30 am to 5 pm on both days.

Only limited spots are available for Vendors. It’s important that you commit early, with preference being given to those vendors who will participate for the entire period of the 2020 Brisbane Airshow.

Eligibility

All Food and Merchant Vendors are welcome to attend. Acceptance as a Vendor at the 2020 Brisbane Airshow is by application on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Notification of successful applications is in-accordance with our terms and will occur between 6-12 weeks before the airshow.

If your business is located within the Somerset Region and you are not selling food then you may be eligible to attend the Somerset Expo within the 2020 Brisbane Airshow. If eligible you should make your application within the the Somerset Expo tab under our ‘Get Involved’ menu.

If your business is an Aviation Industry related business you may want to checkout the Aviation Expo also happening at the 2020 Brisbane Airshow. If appropriate, you should make your application within the the Aviation Expo tab under our ‘Get Involved’ menu

Where 

The 2020 Brisbane Airshow will be held at the Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield, 801 Cressbrook Caboonbah Rd, Cressbrook QLD 4313. Please note that overnight camping is available onsite.

When

4th and 5th of July 2020, 9:30 am to 5:00 pm daily. Evening entertainment will be available until 9 pm to celebrate the 4th of July!

Can I sell food or merchandise at the Airshow?

Yes, absolutely. But you will need all the appropriate food preparation licenses and the standard insurances etc.

What does a site area cost?

There are three (3) classifications of Vendor Licenses, each attracting 1 or 2 day Lot Fees. These include :

  • Caravan Vendor License (2 day only)
  • Marquee Vendor Licenses (2 and 1 day), and
  • Busker Licenses (2 and 1 day).

Various area/ lot sizes are available, with additional lot areas for Seating etc. The Fees are inline with industry practice and are available after application.

Do I need to sell my products at the Brisbane Airshow during the evening and or after 5pm ?

Preference will be given to Vendors who select to trade on both of the airshow days ie the 4th and 5th of July 2020. Trading Hours are 9:30 am to 5 pm daily. Extended hours on the evening of the 4th of July are available on request. Unless otherwise arranged you will not be required to exhibit/ sell your products in the evening.

Bump in/ out times and vehicular movements are in-accordance with our Terms & Conditions & SOP’s, and as published at our Contractors web page (available after completion of the application process).

What do I need to start trading at the Brisbane Airshow?

Each stallholder needs a Licence to Trade, Public Liability Insurance, Tables, Lights, Power Cables (if required), Water Storage (if required) an approved marquee and 30kg weights per leg. Power is available at an additional price. It is recommended that no money be outlaid until you have been notified that your application has been approved, and you are sure you are purchasing approved equipment to withstand the outdoor conditions reasonably expected. 

When do applications close, and when will I be notified?

Applications are processed on a ‘first in best dressed’ basis. Dates for application closure, notification and acceptance are published on our ‘Contractors’ page which is available to applicants on completion of the application process.

Can I camp overnight?

Yes, absolutely! Camping is available overnight. Unfortunately, Camping Fees will apply, but at a discounted rate for our Vendors. (Sorry but we need to cover the costs of toilet and showers!). See our Camping Terms & Conditions here.

  • Please be patient, as we will touch base with you approximately 6-12 weeks before the Airshow (depending on your application).
