Locals and visitors from around Australia are expected to attend the Brisbane Airshow in 2022.  The Brisbane Airshow will provide enthusiasts a venue to display a variety of modern, vintage and warbird aircraft. The Brisbane Airshow is a two-day event allowing patrons to Fly-In and enjoy a rockabilly atmosphere. Car Clubs and Car Enthusiasts will be provided an opportunity to display their vehicles and engage in a variety of Club competitions and judging activities. The Airshow will include evening food as well as band activities on the evening of Saturday the 2nd of July 2022.

The Somerset Business, Trade & Community Expo will be held in conjunction with the 2022 Brisbane Airshow. We welcome all of our Somerset business & trade community and urge you to get involved in this first ever event focusing on the beautiful Somerset Region.  Whatever type of industry you represent, small, medium or large, you are invited to be an official exhibitor and to showcase, promote and or sell your products at the Somerset Expo. Not for Profit organisations, Tourism operators, sporting clubs, general market vendors, sole traders, primary and secondary producers are all invited – if you run a business out of the Somerset Region, then this is an opportunity not to be missed!

If you are not from the Somerset Region, wish to sell food, or are an Aviation Industry related business you should go to our Vendor or Aviation Expo sections under the ‘Get Involved’ tab.

INTERESTED IN SHOWCASING AT THE 2022 BRISBANE AIRSHOW SOMERSET EXPO ?

Only limited spots are available for exhibitors at the Somerset Business, Trade and Community Expo. Space is free to Somerset Business Exhibitors, but you will need to commit early, and to exhibit for the entire period of the 2022 Brisbane Airshow.

All Somerset Business’s, Trade and Community Groups – small, medium or large are welcome. If your business is from outside the Somerset region you are also welcome to participate, however a small fee will apply.

If you wish to sell food or your business does not reside within the Somerset Region or you are an Aviation Industry related business, then you should select from either the Vendor or Aviation Expo sections of our ‘Get Involved’ menu tab.

Where 

The 2022 Brisbane Airshow will be held at the Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield, 801 Cressbrook Caboonbah Rd, Cressbrook QLD 4313. Please note that overnight camping is available onsite.

When

2nd & 3rd July 2022, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm daily. Evening entertainment will be available until 9pm on Saturday!

Am I eligible to exhibit or sell in the Somerset Expo area?

Yes, however only those businesses who reside in the Somerset region are eligible for a free Vendors licence and lot access.

Can I sell food at the Airshow/ Somerset Expo?

Yes and No ….. You can sell food at the Airshow, but not from the Somerset Expo area. If you wish to sell food a Vendors fee will apply and you will need to make your application from our Vendors section under our ‘Get Involved’ menu tab. Please note, all food vendors will require appropriate food preparation licenses and standard insurances etc.

What does a site area cost within the Somerset Expo Area?

Nothing! Eligible exhibitors are provided a free Vendors License to exhibit within the Somerset Expo area.

A stall site, 3.0 x 3.0m in size, is provided free of charge. If you require more space you will need to annotate this on your application form and the event manager will be in contact with you regarding the additional space required. Please note that requests for more than one lot incurs a fee dependent on the amount and location of the area required. 

To secure your lot you will be required to pay a $250.00 deposit. This deposit will be refunded in-accordance with our terms at the completion of the Airshow.

Exhibitors will also provided with 2 adult passes free of charge, to facilitate staff who will work at your exhibit. Regardless of how many lots you require, only 2 passes will be provided. If you require additional passes, you will need to purchase event tickets online.

When do I need to exhibit/ sell my products ?

Somerset Expo exhibitors are required to display on both of the airshow days. Trading Hours are 9:30 am to 5 pm daily. Extended hours on the evening of the 16th of October are available on request. Unless otherwise arranged you will not be required to exhibit/ sell your products in the evening.

All our Airshow Merchants and Vendors are required to ‘bump-in’ on the Friday. Exceptions may only be considered through prior arrangement. Bump in/ out times and vehicular movements are in-accordance with our Terms & Conditions & SOP’s, and as published at our Contractors web page (available after completion of the application process).

What do I need to start trading at the Brisbane Airshow?

Each stallholder needs a Licence to Trade, Public Liability Insurance, Tables, Lights, Power Cables (if required), Water Storage (if required) an approved marquee and 30kg weights per leg.

Power is not provided within the Somerset Expo area. You may use a small portable generator, provided it meets our terms and conditions.

It is recommended that no money be outlaid until you have been notified that your application has been approved, and you are sure you are purchasing approved equipment to withstand the outdoor conditions reasonably expected. 

Can I camp overnight?

Yes, absolutely! Camping and tent rental at the Tent Motel are available. Unfortunately, fees will apply, but at a discounted rate for our Airshow personnel. (Sorry but we need to cover the costs of toilet and showers!) Please take a moment to review our Camping Terms & Conditions here.

When do applications close and when will I be notified?

Applications are processed on a ‘first in best dressed’ basis. Dates for application closure, notification and acceptance are published on our ‘Contractors’ page which is available to applicants on completion of the application process.

  • Please register below. Once registered, you will be directed to our Exhibitors Application Form. Please ensure you complete all questions on the application form and then ‘Submit’.
  • Please be patient, as we will touch base with you approximately 6 weeks before the Airshow.
  • Applications will be processed on a ‘first in, best dressed’ basis.
