SHOW YOUR HOT ROD AT THE 2020 BRISBANE AIRSHOW

Locals and visitors from around Australia are expected to attend the 2020 Brisbane Airshow on the 4th and 5th of July 2020.

The 2020 Brisbane Airshow will provide enthusiasts a great venue to display a variety of modern, vintage and warbird aircraft. The airshow is a two day event allowing patrons to Fly-In and enjoy a rockabilly atmosphere.

Car Clubs and Car Enthusiasts will be provided an opportunity to display their vehicles and engage in a variety of Club competitions and judging activities. The airshow will include the annual Ms Red Thunder Pin-Up Competition as well as the Somerset and Aviation Expo’s. Through-out the airshow, participants will enjoy quality food and merchandise on sale, as well as camping and great entertainment on the evening of Saturday the 4th of July 2020!

Accordingly, we are seeking high-quality hot rods and classic vehicles to display on the airshow days.

WANT TO SHOW YOUR HOT ROD AT THE BRISBANE AIRSHOW?

There are limited spots available for a variety of hot rods and classic vehicles to display on each of the airshow days. Clubs and individuals are welcome, however, only vehicles who can arrive early and leave late are invited to display. No vehicle movement (whatsoever) is allowed during show hours.
 
Eligibility
 
All hot-rods, classic cars and motorcycles are welcome to attend. Acceptance of Display Vehicles is by application on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Notification of successful applications is in-accordance with our terms and will occur between 2-6 weeks before the airshow.
 
Where
 
The 2020 Brisbane Airshow will be held at the Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield, 801 Cressbrook Caboonbah Rd, Cressbrook QLD 4313. Please note that overnight camping is available onsite.
 
Date & Times
 
Saturday 4th July 2020 : enter between 7 and 9 am. Vehicles must stay stationary until 5 pm.
Sunday 5th July 2020 : enter between 7 and 9 am. Vehicles must stay stationary until 5 pm.
 
Vehicles may only depart after 5 pm and only once the Site Manager has declared it safe to move your vehicle. Remember, safety is first!
 
Types of Vehicles
 
Hot Rods, pre-1975 Classic Cars, Lead Sleds, Custom Cars, Vintage and Custom Motorbikes are welcome.
 
ASRF Travel Permit
 
The Air Show has an ASRF Travel Permit : No TBA.
 
Arrival
 
Please arrive at the event site and follow the directions of our marshals, who will instruct you where to display your vehicle on at the event.
 
Club Display
 
If you have organised for a club display and wish to be displayed together, please have all vehicles arrive at the Entrance Gate together.
 
No Car Movement Policy
 
No vehicle may move once on display. You vehicle must be kept stationary with the engine switched off.
 
Departure
 
Cars may leave the site after 5 pm each day, or when our Site Manager has deemed it safe to move your vehicle.
 
Overnight
 
Vehicles may remain in position overnight on Saturday if required. Owners are not permitted to sleep in their vehicles. All owners must leave the event display area at the completion of each day. An on-site camp ground is available at the event.
 
Risk
 
While every care is taken, vehicles owners acknowledge their vehicle is parked on display at their own risk.

What does it cost to display a Vehicle?

Nothing ! We will give you 2 heavily discounted Adult tickets to each day that you display as well as a heavily discounted camping ticket if you overnight.

Do I need to attend with my Vehicle on both days ?

No, but preference will be given to those who choose to display on both days!

Can I Camp Overnight?

Yes, absolutely! Camping is available overnight. Unfortunately, Camping Fees will apply, we need to cover the cost of the toilets etc somehow ? See our Camping Terms & Conditions here.

When do I need to have my Vehicle at the Airshow?

You will be required to set-up your Car between 7 – 9 am on the 4th and 5th of July 2020. Cars may only leave after the main flow of traffic after 4pm on either day, and cars must be removed before 10am on the 6th of July 2020. Preference will be given to Vehicles who Display on both days.

  • Please register below. Once registered, you will be directed to our Display Vehicle Application Form. Please ensure you complete all questions on the application form and then ‘Submit’.
  • Please be patient, as we will touch base with you approximately 6 weeks before the Airshow.
  • Applications will be processed on a ‘first in, best dressed’ basis.
