RED THUNDER TFC

Every Year April-May

The Red Thunder TFC has been running for over 8 years. Red Thunder started as a social get together for former military aviators and has now grown into an all out exercise that takes many elements from military and airline training to offer its members something that was missing within the Australian Aviation Industry. Our instructors have what it takes, with backgrounds in Fast Jet Operation, Naval Aviation, Transport, Tactical Planning, Aerobatics, Airshows and much more. We offers Warbird owners the opportunity to experience their aircraft the way they were meant to be flown!

The Red Thunder TFC brings together the experience of former and current Military pilots offering Warbird owners a snapshot of combat type operations. Our flying activities are well supervised, facilitating a safe environment for continuation training of both ab-initio and proficient pilots in the areas of ;

  • Close Formation,
  • Tactical Formation,
  • Max Performance Handling, and
  • Combat Manoeuvring.

In 2018 Red Thunder TFC culminated into The Red Thunder Airshow, which saw over 10,000 members of the public visit our headquarters at Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield and witness just some of our capabilities.

This event has now grown into what is now known as The Brisbane Airshow.

Based out of the Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield in SE Queensland, the Red Thunder TFC conducts not for profit clinics across the east coast of Australia. Our training workshops are well documented and demanding. You will work hard and play hard. Our activities are aimed at achieving competency for Red Thunders final day exercise ‘Exercise POEHALI’.
